São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the south-central part of Wisconsin, USA, Wisconsin Dells is a renowned tourist destination, known for its unique natural beauty and abundant recreational facilities. Nestled along the Wisconsin River, the city boasts spectacular sandstone canyons and waterfalls that attract outdoor enthusiasts.
Known as the "Waterpark Capital of the World," Wisconsin Dells is home to several large indoor and outdoor waterparks, such as Noah's Ark Waterpark, as well as boat tours, mini-golf, zoos and theme parks. Winter activities include skiing and holiday markets for families year-round.
Tourism is the backbone of the local economy, driving hotel, restaurant and retail development. The city's culture blends natural history with modern entertainment, featuring museums and performance venues. Conveniently located near major highways, the city averages more than one million visitors annually and is a popular vacation destination in the Midwest.
