São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the south of Zhejiang Province and the west of Wenzhou City, Wencheng County is situated in the hilly area of South Zhejiang Province, and is the hometown of Liu Ji (Liu Bowen), the founding father of the Ming Dynasty, and is known as the "Overseas Chinese Hometown" and the "Natural Oxygen Bar". With beautiful scenery and 71% forest coverage, it has Baizhangji River and Feiyun Lake National Scenic Spot, of which Baizhangji River Waterfall is known as "the highest waterfall in China". Wencheng is a famous overseas Chinese hometown, with 300,000 overseas Chinese spreading all over the world, and the culture of overseas Chinese hometown is profound. Meanwhile, the ecological agriculture and cultural and tourism industries are developing in an integrated manner here, with abundant plums, alpine vegetables and other specialties, making it an important ecotourism destination and green agricultural products supplier in the Yangtze River Delta region.
