São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Vasylkiv is a historic city in the Kiev Oblast of Ukraine, located about 30 kilometers southwest of Kiev on the banks of the Stugna River, a tributary of the Dnieper River, and is an important part of the Kiev metropolitan area. Founded in the 10th century as an important trading post of ancient Rus, the city suffered many wars in its history, and from the 19th century onwards it gradually developed into an industrial town, especially important in the field of aeronautics manufacturing, where part of the facilities of the famous Antonov Aircraft Factory were located. The city has preserved historical buildings such as 19th century Orthodox churches and World War II monuments, and is surrounded by forests and a favorable ecological environment. As one of the satellite towns of the Kiev Oblast, Vasilkiv is conveniently connected to the capital by highway, retaining the cultural heritage of traditional Ukrainian towns while combining the dynamism of a modern industrial city, making it a window on the history and development of the central region of Ukraine.
