São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Vingufaalu is a charming island resort in the North Maldives' Maalox Madhuru Atoll, known for its pristine natural beauty and eco-friendly philosophy. It is located about 70 kilometers north of the capital Male, about 30 minutes by seaplane, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Covered with lush tropical vegetation and surrounded by turquoise blue lagoons and expansive coral reefs, the island is perfect for snorkeling and diving, where visitors can see colorful corals, turtles and schools of tropical fish up close. The resort offers eco-friendly water villas and beach villas with an emphasis on sustainability, as well as well-equipped dining and water sports facilities for honeymoons and family trips.
Ungufaru also focuses on marine conservation with a sea turtle rehabilitation center and organizes environmental education activities to provide a unique and responsible travel experience.
