São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the south of Finland, in a narrow strip of land between two lakes, Tampere is Finland's third-largest city and an important center of the Pirkkama region. The "Northern Manchester" of the Industrial Revolution is now known for its vibrant cultural scene and innovative spirit. Finland's "Theatre City" is home to numerous theaters and art venues, and the annual Tampere Theatre Festival is internationally renowned. Visitors can explore the Tampere Workers' Museum, steeped in industrial history, or stroll through the picturesque Murra Park with its breathtaking views of Lake Bira. The city also blends modernity with tradition, with the wooden structure of the Church of Sala Helena mirroring the modern architecture of the city center. As a hub for science and education, Tampere University and Technical College attracts global talent, making it one of Finland's most dynamic cities.
