São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Struga Region is located in the southwestern part of Northern Macedonia, in the South-Western Statistical Region, bordering Albania to the west, and is known for its magnificent natural beauty and deep cultural heritage. The region is situated on the western shore of Lake Ohrid (one of the oldest lakes in Europe), which is surrounded by clear lakes and Montenegro, creating a unique landscape of lakes and mountains, making it a popular destination for summer tourism. Struga is also known as the "Home of Poetry", and the annual Struga Poetry Festival is a global poetry event that attracts poets from all over the world and carries on the literary traditions of the Balkan region. The local economy is based on tourism, fishing and agriculture, and traditional handicrafts such as wood carving and textile making are also distinctive, combining a multicultural history with modern dynamism.
