São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the outskirts of Tongling City, Anhui Province, China, Lion Mountain is one of the important cultural landmarks and ecological landscapes in Tongling, named after the shape of the mountain, which resembles a crouching lion. The mountain is not only rich in copper resources, witnessing the thousand-year mining history of Tongling as the "Copper Capital of China", but also famous for its beautiful natural scenery. The vegetation cover of the mountain is as high as 80%, evergreen in all seasons, fresh air, and the top of the mountain overlooks the Yangtze River and the cityscape of Tongling. The Lion Mountain Copper Mine Site Park preserves the ancient copper mining relics and demonstrates the fusion of copper culture and natural ecology, making it a destination for tourists to explore the history, leisure and sightseeing, and also a model for the combination of Tongling's industrial heritage and natural landscape.
