São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Shenzha is located in the western part of Nagchu City in China's Tibet Autonomous Region, in the hinterland of the Qiangtang Plateau, with an average altitude of about 4,700 meters, making it a typical alpine pastoral area. Famous for its magnificent natural scenery and unique ecological environment, the region boasts the Shenzha Wetland National Nature Reserve, which is an important habitat for rare birds such as the black-necked crane. Shenzha's economy is dominated by animal husbandry, and most of its inhabitants are Tibetans, retaining the traditional nomadic culture and Tibetan Buddhist customs. The climate is dry and cold, with low average annual temperatures, and travelers need to be aware of plateau reactions. Shenzha is an ideal starting point for exploring the uninhabited area of Qiangtang in Tibet and for eco-tourism.
