São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Shangrao is located in the northeast of Jiangxi Province, China, at the junction of Gan, Zhejiang, Fujian and Anhui provinces, and is an important node city of the city cluster in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. As a national ecological demonstration zone and an excellent tourist city, Shangrao is famous for its world natural heritage and cultural heritages, such as Sanqingshan, Wuyuan and Turtle Peak, combining natural landscapes and cultural heritage.
The regional economy is based on the pillars of agriculture, tourism and non-ferrous metal industry, with a developed high-speed rail network and convenient transportation. Shangrao is also the hometown of Zhu Xi, Fang Zhimin and other historical celebrities, where the red culture and the tradition of science are blended. With a beautiful urban environment, the Xin River running through the city, modern development and ecological protection, Shangrao is one of the most dynamic developing cities in China.
