São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Sebotho is a small community in the Kingdom of Lesotho in southern Africa, located in the west of the country near the Mafeteng district in the foothills of the Drakensberg mountain range, at an average altitude of about 1,800 meters above sea level, with a temperate mountainous climate. As a microcosm of rural life in Lesotho, the local people are mainly engaged in animal husbandry and traditional agriculture, cultivating crops such as maize and sorghum, and retaining strong Basotho cultural traditions, such as the weaving of straw hats and the making of traditional blankets. Despite its small size, the natural beauty of the area around Severon is perfect for experiencing Lesotho's highland countryside, and is one of the windows into the culture and lifestyle of the local community.
