São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Sammamish, located in King County, Washington, United States, is an up-and-coming city founded in 1999 with a population of approximately 65,000 in the eastern suburbs of the Seattle metropolitan area. The city is known for its beautiful natural environment, quality educational resources and peaceful community atmosphere, and has been repeatedly recognized by Money magazine as one of the "Most Livable Cities in America". With lakefront views of Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish, Sammamish boasts more than 50 parks and hundreds of miles of trails for outdoor activities. The local school district is a top performer, attracting families to the area. Economically, with its proximity to Seattle and Microsoft's Redmond headquarters, tech and retail sectors, and one of the highest income levels in the nation, it's an ideal place to live that combines natural beauty with modern conveniences.
