São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Rønne is the administrative center and largest city of the Danish island of Bornholm, located in the middle of the Baltic Sea, and is known as the capital of the "sunny island". The city is known for its colorful half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets and long history, and is an important tourist and cultural destination in Denmark.
Located on the western side of the island of Bornholm, Longstedt has a history of more than 1,000 years and served as a trading port for the Hanseatic League. Its name is derived from the Old Norse word for "fringe", reflecting its unique location. The city covers an area of about 600 square kilometers and has a population of about 14,000, with a mild climate and pleasantly cool summers.
The economy of Longstedtz is based on tourism, fishing and ceramics manufacturing, and the island of Bornholm is known for its specialty smoked herring and handmade ceramics. The city boasts several museums, such as the Bornholm Museum, showcasing Viking Age heritage. The vibrancy of the city is reflected in the music festivals and markets held each summer, which attract large numbers of visitors.
Visitors can visit the Longstedtz Round Church, the harbor lighthouse, and the nearby ruins of Hammershus Castle. The natural beauty of the city's surroundings makes it suitable for cycling and hiking, and is an ideal starting point for exploring Denmark's Baltic culture.
