São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Ruili City, located in the west of Yunnan Province, is a county-level city of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, located on the China-Myanmar border, with the reputation of "Pearl of the Border". As an important border trade city in southwest China, Ruili is across the river from Muse, Myanmar, and the Sisqiao Border Trade Zone is the only border trade zone in China that implements the special supervision mode of "inside the country, outside the border", with a prosperous border trade in jewelry, jade and agricultural products, which is an important hub for China-Myanmar economic cooperation. It is an important hub for China-Myanmar economic cooperation. It is inhabited by many ethnic groups, with Dai, Jingpo and other ethnic cultures intermingling, and unique attractions such as "one village, two countries" and "one tree, one forest" attracting tourists. With superior location and open policy, Ruili is not only a bridge connecting South and Southeast Asia, but also a window to show the charm and openness of China's border.
