São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Qingbaijiang District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, located in the northeastern part of Chengdu, about 30 kilometers from the city center. The district gets its name from the Qingbai River, which flows through its territory, and is home to the Chengdu International Railway Port, as well as an important starting point for the China-European liner (Chengdu), a trade hub connecting China with Europe and Central Asia.
Qingbaijiang has a strong industrial base, dominated by metallurgical, chemical and logistics industries, and has been actively developing modern manufacturing and cross-border e-commerce in recent years. The area is rich in cultural attractions, such as the Phoenix Lake Wetland Park and the Three Kingdoms cultural relics, featuring both ecological and historical characteristics. Conveniently located, the area is closely connected to neighboring cities through networks such as the Chengmian Expressway and the Baocheng Railway.
As a national-level economic development zone and high-speed rail port, Qingbaijiang is promoting economic diversification and internationalization, and is an important economic growth pole in northern Chengdu.
