São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Pointe-Noire (Pointe-Noire) is the largest city in the Republic of the Congo, the economic center and the only deep-water port, located in the southwestern part of the country along the Gulf of Guinea, is one of the important port cities in West Africa. As the Congo (Brazzaville) "sea gate", Pointe-Noire bears more than 90% of the country's maritime cargo throughput, oil, timber, agricultural products and other major exports to the world, the economic status of the important. The city is a blend of French colonial style and local African culture, with a beautiful seaside scenery, and the name "Pointe-Noire" comes from the unique landscape of black volcanic rocks along its coast. With a population of around 900,000, it is the most populous city in the Congo-Brazzaville, with industries such as petroleum refining, shipbuilding, food processing, and a rich fishing industry, as well as being a regional tourist hub, attracting visitors to explore its beaches, museums, and multiculturalism.
