São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Permet is a city in the southern Albanian state of Gjirokastra, located on the banks of the Vyosa River, near the Greek border. The city is known for its warm Mediterranean climate, rich natural landscape and historical and cultural monuments. With an area of about 600 square kilometers and a population of about 11,000, Permet is an important agricultural and tourist center in Albania.
Surrounded by mountains and river valleys, Pelmet has protected areas such as the Bendu Mountain National Park, which is suitable for hiking and eco-tourism. The region is known for the production of wine, raki and traditional honey, and retains Ottoman-era architecture such as the 16th-century St. Mary's Church. The city organizes annual cultural festivals to attract tourists to experience Albanian traditions.
