São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the northern part of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Province of China, Nanzi District is an important industrial and educational town in Kaohsiung City. It is conveniently located with longitudinal railroads and highways running through it, forming a convenient transportation network. Known as the core area of the "Kaohsiung Science and Technology Corridor", Nanzi is home to the Nanzi Science and Technology Park, Kaohsiung Software Park, and other industrial clusters, which have attracted many science and technology enterprises and R&D centers, making it an important base for industrial innovation in southern Taiwan. At the same time, the area is rich in educational resources, including National University of Kaohsiung, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences and other well-known colleges and universities, providing talent support for industrial development. As an important town in southern Taiwan, Nanzi combines industrial vitality and cultural heritage, and continues to promote synergistic development of the regional economy and society.
