São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Nancheng County is located in the eastern part of Jiangxi Province, China, belonging to Fuzhou City, and is an important historical and cultural city in southeast Gan. It has a total area of 1,698 square kilometers and a population of about 320,000 people. Located at the western foot of Wuyi Mountain, Xujiang River runs through the whole territory, and the climate is subtropical monsoon with four distinct seasons. Nancheng has a long history, the county was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty, more than 1800 years ago, known as "the famous Gan prefecture, the state of literature" reputation.
The county is based on agriculture, producing rice, mandarin oranges and white lotus, and developing industries such as building materials and machinery manufacturing. Nancheng has convenient transportation, with Fuyin Expressway and Xiangpu Railway passing through the county, and about 2 hours' drive from Nanchang Changbei Airport. Rich in tourism resources, with the Magu Mountain Scenic Area (Taoist shrine), Wannian Bridge, Juxing Pagoda and other monuments, the legend of Magu culture is included in the national intangible cultural heritage.
As a bridgehead of Jiangxi docking Hercynian Economic Zone, Nancheng is actively integrating into the regional development, the economy maintains steady growth, and the people's livelihood continues to improve, it is a livable city with both cultural heritage and development vitality.
