São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Muara is a district in Brunei Darussalam, one of the four districts in Brunei, located in the eastern part of the country, bordering Brunei Bay. It is known for its serene natural beauty and unique cultural atmosphere, with a long coastline, including the Tasek Merimbun National Park, an important wetland reserve in Southeast Asia, rich in biodiversity. The local economy is mainly based on fishing and agriculture, while a small tourism industry has gradually developed, taking advantage of its proximity to the capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan. Muara has preserved many traditional Malay villages and visitors can experience the charm of Brunei's traditional water villages, taste fresh seafood and feel the simple rhythm of local life. As the gateway to the eastern part of Brunei, Muara is an ideal place to explore Brunei's local culture with its ecological and cultural features.
