São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Mount Charleston, located in Clark County, Nevada, USA, is situated in the Spring Mountains, about 50 kilometers northwest of Las Vegas, and is an alpine oasis on the edge of the Great Basin Desert. At an altitude of 2,400-3,600 meters above sea level, the average summer temperature is only about 20°C, a stark contrast to the heat of Las Vegas, making it a popular destination for local residents and tourists alike to escape the heat and go hiking. In winter, the city of Munting is covered in snow and boasts the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, an ideal place for skiing and snow sports. It is also popular with nature lovers for its pristine pine forests, crystal clear streams, excellent stargazing conditions, and distance from urban light pollution. As a stopover between Hoover Dam and Death National Park, Mundine City offers a unique outdoor recreation experience in the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas with its serene natural beauty and four-season climate.
