São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Mürzzuschlag is located in the northern part of the Austrian state of Styria, nestled in the foothills of the majestic Alps, about 100 kilometers from the capital Vienna. Located in the valley of the river Mühl, at an altitude of about 670 meters above sea level and surrounded by rolling green hills, the town is a natural environment and a famous Austrian summer resort and winter sports destination.
Merz has a long history, first documented in the 13th century, and then in the 19th century as an important industrial center of the Austro-Hungarian Empire with its iron and steel industry. The town retains many historical buildings, such as the Church of St. James and the old town hall. Merz is also the summer home of the famous composer Johannes Brahms and houses the Brahms Museum, which attracts many music lovers to explore.
As an important gateway to the Alps, Merz offers a wealth of tourist experiences in all seasons. In winter, the nearby ski slopes attract skiing and tobogganing enthusiasts; summer is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing. The town also boasts excellent spa facilities and traditional Austrian cuisine, where visitors can sample authentic Styrian specialties. Easy transportation links to major cities such as Salzburg and Graz make it an ideal base from which to explore Austria.
