São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Minden City, located in Montcalm County in central Michigan, USA, is a small, predominantly agricultural town with a population of about 2,000. It maintains a typical Midwestern small-town feel, is quiet and friendly, and is surrounded by extensive farmland and forests for those seeking a slower pace of life. The community's economy is dominated by farming (e.g., corn, soybeans) and small-scale manufacturing, and in recent years has attracted some new nature-loving residents. Despite its small size, Minden boasts amenities such as community parks, a local library and an annual fair, and residents are close-knit and supportive of each other. Located about an hour from Grand Rapids, it combines the tranquility of the countryside with the convenience of a neighboring city, making it an ideal place to experience Michigan's native life.
