São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Jebel Ali, a major port and free zone in Dubai, UAE, located on the Persian Gulf coast, is one of the largest man-made ports in the world and a central logistics hub in the Middle East. As a key engine for Dubai's economic diversification, Jebel Ali Port has deep-water terminals, modern warehousing facilities and an efficient transportation network connecting Asia, Europe and Africa, and is among the world's leading ports in terms of annual container throughput. Its neighboring Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) has attracted more than 10,000 companies from all over the world, covering a wide range of sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, energy and trade, and has become a strategic gateway for multinational corporations to enter the Middle East, Africa and South Asia by providing tax exemptions, a simplified registration process, and a comprehensive infrastructure. Jebel Ali's success not only strengthens Dubai's position as an international shipping and trade hub, but also promotes the UAE's key role in the global supply chain, continuing to contribute to regional economic development and globalization.
