São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Lusaka, the capital of the Republic of Zambia, is a vibrant savannah-climate city located in the highlands of the south-central part of the country at an altitude of about 1,270 meters. As the political, economic and cultural center of the country, Lusaka has a concentration of government agencies, foreign embassies and major corporations, with a population of more than 2 million, and a multi-ethnic population, with English as the official language, and Bemba and Nyonga as the main local languages. The city's economy is based on mining services, agricultural trade and light industry, with services driven by the mineral resources of the neighboring Copperbelt province. Lusaka has a modern central business district, traditional markets and cultural landmarks such as the Zambian National Museum. With an average annual temperature of 14-29 ℃ and a pleasant climate, Lusaka is an important transportation hub and trade center in Southern Africa.
