São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the southwestern part of China's Shaanxi Province, Loyang County is part of Hanzhong City and is situated at the confluence of the southern foothills of the Qinling Mountains and the upper reaches of the Jialing River. Known for its rich natural resources and cultural heritage, this historic county is an important transportation hub connecting Shaanxi, Gansu and Sichuan provinces. With its unique mountainous terrain and mild climate, Luoyang is rich in Chinese herbs, tea and minerals, among which specialties such as dulcimer and asparagus enjoy a high reputation.
Luoyang retains a deep Qinba cultural heritage, with historical monuments such as Lingyan Temple and Jiang Shen Temple, as well as natural landscapes such as the Jialing River Grand Canyon. The cultural characteristics of the local Qiang and Han integration are reflected in the folk festivals and traditional handicrafts. Luoyang is also one of the red tourist destinations, having witnessed the historical footprints of the Red Army's Long March. The economy is based on agriculture, mining and eco-tourism, and is gradually developing green industries.
