São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the northwestern part of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Lunglin Autonomous County is part of Baise City, on the southeastern edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, bordering Guizhou Province. The county is known for its multi-ethnic settlement, including Zhuang, Miao, Yi, Gelao and Han, etc. The ethnic cultures are rich and colorful, and traditional festivals such as the Miao Jumping Slope Festival and the Yi Torch Festival attract many tourists.
Longlin has beautiful natural scenery, with attractions such as Tianshengqiao Reservoir and Jinzhongshan Black-necked Long-tailed Pheasant Nature Reserve, and an excellent ecological environment. The economy is mainly based on agriculture, with forestry, animal husbandry and specialty plantations such as mulberry silkworms and tea as important industries. In recent years, the tourism industry has gradually developed, becoming an ideal destination for experiencing ethnic culture and natural ecology.
