São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Longjing is located in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, China, at the eastern foot of Changbai Mountain and the middle and upper reaches of Tumen River, across the river from North Korea. As a border city, Longjing is famous for its unique Korean culture and natural scenery. The climate belongs to the temperate continental monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons, cool summers and cold, snowy winters.
Longjing is one of the main settlements of the Korean people and has a strong ethnic culture with a rich variety of traditional festivals, cuisine and folk activities such as Korean dance, kimchi making and Nongrak dance. The economy is based on agriculture, producing agricultural products such as apples and pears and rice, while tourism has been developed to attract tourists to experience border customs and natural landscapes.
The city is easily accessible by road and rail, connecting it to major cities in Jilin Province and serving as an important gateway for exploring the Changbai Mountain and Tumen River regions. Longjing combines cultural, historical and natural advantages to become a distinctive tourist and cultural destination in Jilin Province.
