São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Martigny-les-Trois-Églises is a commune in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region of France, located in the northeast of the country. The name of this quiet town means "Martigny of the Three Churches", a reference to its rich historical and religious architectural heritage.
The town is situated on the western side of the Vosges Mountains, at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level, surrounded by rolling hills and forests. About 30 kilometers from the capital of the department, Epinale, it belongs to a typical French rural landscape, characterized by agriculture and natural beauty.
The history of Martinique La Trois-Roissiers dates back to the Middle Ages, and its religious complex is reflected in the "three churches" in the town's name. The traditional architecture of the Lorraine region is preserved, with stone houses and old churches forming a unique cultural landscape.
This is the ideal place to experience the French countryside, with idyllic views and local wines and cheeses. With a population of around 200, the town maintains a peaceful and rustic atmosphere for travelers who enjoy history, culture and nature.
