São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Langzhong, located in the northeastern part of Sichuan Province and in the middle reaches of the Jialing River, is a national historical and cultural city, known as the "Hometown of Chinese Spring Festival Culture" and the "Hub of Ba Shu". With a history of more than 2,300 years, this ancient city has preserved the street patterns of the Tang, Song, Ming and Qing dynasties, and is famous for its core scenic spot "Langzhong Ancient City", which covers such monuments as Zhang Fei Temple, Tribute Academy and Huaguang Building, and combines diverse cultures, such as military, imperial examinations, and folklore. The Jialing River surrounds the ancient city, forming a unique natural landscape of "three sides of the river embracing the city, surrounded by mountains locking the smoke and haze", which makes it a must-visit place to experience the tradition and history of Ba Shu.
