São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located on the western shore of the Persian Gulf, Kuwait City is the capital and largest city of the State of Kuwait and the country's political, economic and cultural hub. The city is known for its modern skyline, with landmarks such as the Kuwait Tower and the Liberation Tower symbolizing the development that followed the oil boom. As an important port in the Gulf region, Kuwait City is the center of finance, trade and transportation, with an active stock market and numerous corporate headquarters.
Blending traditional Arab culture with modern urban life, attractions in Kuwait City include the Grand Mosque, the National Museum and traditional bazaars such as Souk Al-Mubarakiya, offering a rich historical and shopping experience. The climate is hot and dry, with high temperatures common in the summer, but the infrastructure is well developed. The city focuses on greening and sustainability, while attracting international residents with safety and high quality of life. Overall, Kuwait City is a key city in the Middle East that combines commercial dynamism with cultural depth.
