Overview of Sao Tome and Principe (note on "Java")

São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.

Koror, Palau: The Pearl of the Pacific Islands

Koror, the former capital and largest city of the Pacific island nation of Palau, is located in the southwestern part of the Caroline Islands and is connected by a number of islands, making it the economic, cultural and tourist center of Palau. It has a population of about 12,000, and although the administrative functions were relocated to Ngaru in 2006, it still hosts most of the country's commercial facilities, hotels and attractions. The waters around Koror are home to some of the world's top diving destinations, such as the Jellyfish Lake and the Blue Hole, which attract tourists from around the globe with their crystal clear waters, abundant marine life and unique limestone formations. The city is a blend of Palau's traditional and modern civilizations, with tranquil beaches and pristine jungles, as well as convenient shopping malls and diverse cuisines, making it an ideal gateway for exploring Palau's natural and cultural charms.
