São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
With Xi'an Xianyang International Airport as its core, Shaanxi Airport is the largest comprehensive transportation hub in Northwest China and a Class I national aviation port, and is located at an important node of the "Belt and Road" construction. The airport has opened more than 300 domestic and international routes, with a passenger throughput of over 44 million in 2023 and a cargo and mail throughput of 380,000 tons, connecting major cities around the world. Relying on the advantages of the airport, Shaanxi Airport New City has built a cluster of airside industries covering aviation logistics, high-end manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce and other fields, which has become a new engine for driving the high-quality development of the regional economy and an important window for opening up of central and western regions of China to the outside world.
