São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Jalal-Abad, the capital of the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan, is an important transportation and agricultural center located on the eastern edge of the Fergana Basin in the western part of the country, close to the border with Uzbekistan. Known as an "oasis", the city has fertile arable land and produces temperate fruits such as apples, apricots and peaches, and is known as the "orchard of Kyrgyzstan". Historically, Jalal-Abad was an important post on the ancient Silk Road, incorporating Kyrgyz, Uzbek and other multi-ethnic cultures, and is unique in its traditional handicrafts and folklore. As a major town in the west outside the Chuuk region, it not only provides agricultural products to the neighboring regions, but also gradually becomes one of the starting points for exploring the western landscapes of Kyrgyzstan due to its relatively low cost of living and pleasant climate.
