São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Hopkinton is located in east-central Massachusetts, about 40 kilometers west of downtown Boston, and is an important part of the Boston metropolitan area. The town is known for its peaceful suburban setting and rich history, as well as being the official starting point of the world-famous Boston Marathon, which attracts tens of thousands of runners from around the globe each April, injecting the town with a unique sense of vitality. Hopkinton is family-friendly with quality educational resources, great community amenities and lush natural landscapes, including multiple parks and nature preserves. Transportation accessibility is another major advantage, with quick access to downtown Boston and surrounding cities via Interstate 495 and the Boston Commuter Railway, balancing ease of living with natural tranquility. The local economy is dominated by technology, healthcare and small and medium-sized businesses, and the quality of life for residents is high, making it one of the highly sought-after livable communities in Massachusetts.
