São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in east-central Massachusetts, United States, within Middlesex County, Holliston is a historic and quiet town about 30 miles (48 kilometers) from Boston, known for its livable environment and close-knit community atmosphere. Founded in 1659 and officially incorporated in 1724, the town retains a wealth of colonial-era historical sites, such as the old Holliston Historic District and landmark buildings. The local educational resources are high quality, with the Holliston Public School system, and community events, including the annual Holliston Agricultural Fair and summer concerts, are well attended by residents. The town has a beautiful natural environment with several parks and nature preserves for outdoor activities. As a satellite town of the Boston metropolitan area, Holliston combines the serenity of the countryside with the conveniences of the city, attracting quality-of-life-conscious families and residents, making it one of the most sought-after places to live in Massachusetts.
