São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Gonzalo Vázquez is an administrative region of the Republic of Panama, located in the west-central part of the country, under the jurisdiction of the province of Veraguas. The region's main economic pillar is agriculture, producing coffee, corn and citrus fruits, while preserving a rich natural landscape and traditional rural culture.
Gonzalo Vasquez is located in the Central Mountain Range region of Panama and has a humid tropical climate and dense forest resources, making it an ideal destination for ecotourism and hiking adventures. The local population is predominantly Mestizo and has preserved the architectural styles and folk traditions of the Spanish colonial period.
The borough is connected to major cities such as Panama City via the Transamerican Highway, and has an ever-improving infrastructure. In recent years, Gonzalo Vasquez is gradually developing eco-agriculture and sustainable tourism, becoming one of the representative areas to experience rural life in the interior of Panama.
