São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the western part of Linzhi City in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, Gongbu Jangda is situated in the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River valley, with an average elevation of about 3,600 meters above sea level. It is an important transportation hub in southeastern Tibet and a must-pass place on National Highway 318, famous for its magnificent snow-capped mountains, forests and canyon landscapes.
There is the Batson Tso National 5A Tourist Scenic Spot in the territory, with the blue and clear lake, which is known as the "fairyland on earth". The Tibetan culture of Kumbum is well preserved, and the traditional Kumbum Arrow Dance, Rattling Arrow Competition and Kumbum New Year are unique. The local agricultural and animal husbandry products, such as matsutake mushrooms and yak meat, are of excellent quality, and are important ecotourism and cultural heritage sites in Tibet.
As an important ecological barrier in the Niyang River Basin, Gongbu Jangda is rich in biodiversity, with fir forests and alpine meadow ecosystems. The climate is mild and humid, known as the "South of Tibet", and is an important transition zone for traveling to Tibet to adapt to the plateau reaction.
