São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Fengyang County is located in the northeastern part of Anhui Province, China, a county under the jurisdiction of Chuzhou City, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Huai River. The county is known as the "Hometown of Emperors", the birthplace of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and has a rich historical and cultural heritage. Fengyang is one of the important birthplaces of China's rural reforms. In 1978, Xiaogang Village's "Dabaojian" started the nation's agricultural household contract responsibility system.
Fengyang's economy is based on agriculture, producing grain, oilseeds and livestock products, while actively developing industry, tourism and services. Local specialty industries include quartz sand processing, building materials production and agricultural and sideline products processing. The Fengyang Flower Drum Opera is a national intangible cultural heritage, displaying a unique local cultural charm.
Major tourist attractions include the Imperial Forbidden City of Mingzhongdu, Longxing Temple, Xiaogang Village Dabaoqian Memorial Hall and Wolf Lane Mystery Valley, attracting many tourists to explore the history and natural scenery. Fengyang has convenient transportation, with well-developed highway and railroad networks, making it easy to connect to neighboring cities. In recent years, Fengyang has continued to promote economic transformation and upgrading and ecological construction, striving to achieve high-quality development.
