São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Dongcheng District is located in the northeastern part of downtown Beijing, China, and is an important part of the functional core area of the capital. As a historical and cultural area, Dongcheng District is home to famous landmarks such as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing Street, blending ancient traditions with modern urban vitality. Covering an area of approximately 41.84 square kilometers and with a high population density, the area is a hub for political, cultural and commercial activities. Conveniently located, the area is densely populated with subway lines connecting the city's major districts. With a focus on balancing cultural heritage preservation and urban development, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life of residents and the travel experience, Dongcheng District is an ideal destination for exploring the charms of Beijing's ancient capital.
