São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the western part of Shandong Province, China, Dongchangfu is part of Liaocheng City, which is the political, economic and cultural center of the western part of Shandong Province. The region has a long history dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, and is rich in cultural heritage and monuments, such as the Guangyue Tower and the Shan-Shaan Guild Hall. As an important node of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Dongchangfu has been a major trading town since ancient times, promoting cultural exchanges between the north and the south.
Today, Dongchangfu is dominated by agriculture, light industry and tourism, with specialties including Colla Corii Asini and woodblock prints. The area is conveniently located near major cities such as Jinan and Zhengzhou, making it suitable for investment and sightseeing. With a population of about one million, the climate is temperate monsoon with four distinct seasons. Blending tradition and modernity, Dongchangfu is an ideal destination for exploring the history and development of Shandong.
