São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Dalanzadgad is the capital city of the South Gobi Province of Mongolia, located about 550 kilometers south of the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Nestled in the Gobi Desert region, the city has a population of about 20,000 and is the administrative, economic and transportation center of the region. The climate is arid, with hot summers and cold winters, and is known for its typical desert landscape.
Dharamzadagad is surrounded by unique natural landscapes, including the Gobi Desert, sand dunes and mountains. Nearby are the famous Hungaroring Els sand dunes and the Bayanzag dinosaur fossil site, which attract many explorers and paleontology enthusiasts. The region also contains mineral resources such as coal and copper, which support the local economy.
The economy is dominated by mining, animal husbandry and tourism. Cities provide basic services such as hotels and markets, making it easy for tourists to explore the Gobi landscape and traditional culture. Nomadic Mongolian herding traditions are preserved in the area, and horse racing and wrestling events are common at festivals and Naadam assemblies. In terms of transportation, Dalanzadagad Airport connects to Ulaanbaatar and the road network facilitates desert travel.
