São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.

Introduction to Tsokane, Tibet, China

Located in the southeastern part of the Ali region in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, Tsokane County is situated in the hinterland of the Qiangtang Plateau, with an average altitude of about 4,700 meters, making it one of the highest counties in Tibet. The area is bordered by Rezhe County in the north and Zhongba County in Rikaze City in the east, with a total area of about 22,000 square kilometers. Cuoqin Tibetan language means "big lake", because of the territory of the famous Zhari Namco salt water lake and named.

Natural and Climatic Characteristics

Cuoqin belongs to the typical plateau cold arid climate, the average annual temperature of minus 2-4 ℃, winter cold and dry, summer short cool. The landscape is dominated by plateau meadows, deserts and salt lakes, and Zarzhi Namco Lake is the third largest lake in Tibet, attracting numerous wildlife habitats, including protected species such as the Tibetan wild ass and Tibetan antelope.

Human and Economic Profile

Tsagaan has a population of about 15,000, predominantly Tibetan, and a traditional economy dominated by animal husbandry. In recent years, it has gradually developed eco-tourism and solar energy industry, and the G216 National Highway running through the whole territory has improved the transportation conditions. The local area retains Tibetan Buddhist culture and nomadic traditions, and religious sites such as Xadong Temple are important cultural landmarks.
