São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Chengdu, located in the central part of China's Sichuan Province, is the capital city of Sichuan Province and an important economic, cultural and transportation center in southwest China. With a history of over 3,000 years, the city is known for its rich cultural heritage and slow-paced lifestyle.
Known as the "Land of Heavenly Capital", Chengdu has a well-developed economy and is a hub for high-tech industries and finance, while attracting tourists from around the world with its panda protection base and Sichuan cuisine, such as hot pots and spicy snacks. The city blends tradition and modernity, with attractions including historical sites such as the Wuhou Temple, Jinli Street and KuanNarrow Alley, as well as the modern Tianfu New District.
Recognized by UNESCO as a "Gourmet Capital," Chengdu's lifestyle appeal and friendly atmosphere make it one of China's most livable cities, receiving millions of visitors annually and demonstrating its diverse international reach.
