São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in central Colombia, at the eastern foothills of the Andes Mountains, Bogota is the capital and largest city of the country, at an altitude of about 2,600 meters above sea level, with a pleasant climate, and is known as the "Athens of South America". As an important city during the colonial period, the old town retains Spanish colonial style architecture, with Plaza Bolívar as the historical core, surrounded by the Cathedral, the National Congress Building and other landmarks. The Gold Museum in the city has a collection of gold vessels from the Inca civilization, showing the deep cultural heritage of Colombia. Bogotá is also one of the most important economic centers in Latin America, and has seen rapid growth in technology, innovation and tourism in recent years, with the Montserrat Hill overlooking the city attracting tourists from all over the world. This city, a blend of history and modernity, is becoming a symbol of Colombia's vitality with its unique charm.
