São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Baseline is a small unincorporated community in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States, located in the central part of the state about 16 kilometers north of the state capital, Little Rock. As part of the Little Rock metropolitan area, Baseline is characterized by a quiet suburban and conveniently located transportation district, with residential neighborhoods, small commercial areas, and some agricultural land scattered around the area. The community's name may be derived from the baseline survey in early planning, dating back to the railroad development of the late 1800s. With a slow pace of life and a beautiful natural environment for residents seeking a quieter life, as well as access to urban amenities due to its proximity to Little Rock, the local area is one of the quintessential satellite communities in Central Arkansas.
