São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Barceloneta is a city on the northern coast of Puerto Rico, known as the "Cradle of Puerto Rico", located between the Central Mountain Range and the Caribbean Sea, about an hour's drive from the capital city of San Juan. The city is known for its agriculture and tourism, especially for its excellent coffee and sugar cane cultivation, and is surrounded by plantations where you can experience traditional farming culture. The annual Festival de los Gigantes, with its mix of indigenous, Spanish and African elements, parade of giant puppets and traditional music, is an important symbol of local culture. Nearby is the famous El Yunque National Forest, where visitors can explore rainforests, waterfalls and unique ecosystems. The city's colonial architecture and modern vibrancy make it an ideal destination to experience Puerto Rico's natural and human charms.
