São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Atlantic City is located in the southeastern part of the state of New Jersey in the United States and is the capital of Atlantic County, bordering the Atlantic coast. The city is known for its gaming industry, resorts and entertainment venues, and is known as the "Las Vegas of the East". Core attractions include the famous oceanfront boardwalk, the historic landmark Absecon Lighthouse, and several large casino resorts such as the Borgata and Atlantic City Casino.
In addition to gaming, Atlantic City offers an abundance of leisure activities such as beach vacations, shopping and dining experiences. The city hosts several annual events, including music festivals and beauty pageants, which attract visitors from around the globe. Conveniently located and easily accessible via the Atlantic City International Airport or highway network, it is a popular destination on the East Coast of the United States.
