São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Al Khor is a coastal city in northeastern Qatar, located about 50 kilometers north of the capital city of Doha, and is part of the Al Khor Municipality administrative district. The city has a long history and is traditionally known for its pearl-gathering and fishing industries, and was once one of the major economic centers of Qatar. Haor has a tranquil natural environment, bordering the Arabian Gulf and surrounded by mangrove forests and sandy beaches, making it a popular spot for birdwatching and recreational fishing.
The city has a population of around 30,000, with a predominantly native Qatari population and a traditional community atmosphere. Howe Harbor is an important industrial base for Qatar, supporting the energy and shipping industries. In recent years, as Qatar's economy has grown, Howl's infrastructure has been gradually improved, but it still retains a strong cultural identity, such as the Howl Museum, which showcases local history and handicrafts.
The climate in Howl is hot and dry, with high temperatures of over 40°C in the summer and mild winters. The city is well connected to Doha by highway, making it easily accessible. As one of the host cities for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Al Bayt Stadium has attracted global attention with its unique marquee design, further raising its international profile.
