São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Al Rayyan, one of Qatar's major cities, is located in the northwest of the capital, Doha, only about 10 kilometers away from the center of Doha, and is one of the most populous and fastest growing areas in Qatar. As the centerpiece of Qatar National Vision 2030, it is home to modern facilities such as Education City and Sports City, as well as landmarks such as Qatar University and Doha Sports Stadium, where many of the 2022 FIFA World Cup matches will be held. With a blend of commercial, residential and industrial functions, high-end communities, shopping malls and industrial parks, and convenient transportation links to the capital via the Doha Metro, Za'ain is a key area for Qatar's economic diversification and urbanization, combining modern urban vitality with Arab cultural heritage.
