São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Agoro, the capital of Uganda's northern Agago district, is located in the northeast of the country, adjacent to the border with South Sudan, and is an important trade node connecting Uganda with neighboring countries. As the center of the region, Agoro has a predominantly agrarian economy, with the local population mainly engaged in cotton and groundnut cultivation as well as animal husbandry, and a savannah climate that makes it suitable for a wide range of crops, with distinct rainy and dry seasons. The town has a population of about 50,000, with a multi-ethnic population, and a far-reaching Acholi culture, characterized by traditional dances and handicrafts. In recent years, with the improvement of infrastructure, Agago has gradually become a commercial and educational center in the northern region, attracting people from the surrounding areas to trade and study, showing the vitality and diversified charm of Uganda's border towns.
